Gallery Nucleus in L.A. Supports Illustrators

Contributed by Melissa Kojima

One of my favorite galleries in L.A. is "Gallery Nucleus". They have been exhibiting and supporting illustrators for as long as they have been opened since 2004. They feature art by illustrators from the entertainment and editorial industries and they regularly have workshops to help illustrators improve their skills.

Moreover, they always try to give back to the community and to those who need help. For example, they just had a show to help Ghana, specifically to provide boarding and education for orphaned children in Ghana, West Africa.

ART BLOCKS FOR GHANA

Coming up in April 2011, they will be having another fundraiser event to help the people of Japan who were effected by the natural disasters. If you want to help by submitting art and illustrations, click on the above link.

ART FOR JAPAN

Recently, they started to offer illustrators art printing to to sell their illustration prints in their store. You can upload your artwork and get it reviewed and possibly sold where art lovers frequent. They get more traffic than any single artist website. You also retain all your copyrights under a temporary licensing agreement. They take your prints and sell them at conventions and fairs too.

All of this sounds fantastic, doesn't it? You can easily see why I love "Gallery Nucleus". And I haven't even highlighted all the wonderful things they offer and their cool upcoming exhibitions. To get the full experience, check out their website.
